Just a word about Origami!

Origami is one of those activities that really helps with hand-eye coordination. It is an excellent activity to do with school kids to promote 2D to 3D geometric envisioning. Doing origami as a class also helps students really focus and duplicate instructions exactly. It is a wonderful all around brain-training experience. Origami is great fun in addition to being highly educational.

If you are a teacher or work with groups of kids you just might give it a try.  There are very simple patterns that kids age 7 and up would be able to do. You can find basic books at your local library or you can even find instructions on line for free.

The best Origami paper is thin and holds an edge when you fold it. We do sell this paper in bulk (packs of 300 or 500 sheets). However, if you are on a low budget and are just doing basic forms you can use copy paper that is cut down.  Copy paper is not good for more advanced forms as the paper is too thick and can become frustrating.

We hope you will give it a try!
